The Lions are currently top of the table with 19 points, while second-placed England have 16 points but two games to play. The Czechs are already assured of participation in the barrage, but they are still in contention for first place. To do so, they have to beat England by two goals to draw the first match (1::3).
Jan Suchopárek’s charges will play England on 3 June at 6 pm in České Budějovice, while Andorra will face them on 13 June at 6 pm in Brno.
The selection includes such stalwarts as Adam Karabec, captain Filip Kaloč, Daniel Fila and goalkeeper Matěj Kovář. Other rising league stars such as David Jurásek, Michal Kohút or Pavel Šulc will fight for the first place.
Coach Suchopárek also nominated four newcomers. Goalkeeper Jakub Markovič from Pardubice, defender David Pech from Mladá Boleslav and Karel Pojezný, who is on loan in Pardubice from Baník Ostrava.
