The Czech U21 national team will play a qualifying double-header against Kosovo in October. Jan Suchopárek, the coach of the lion cubs, made 4 changes compared to the September nomination.
Suchopárek has a really great selection at the goalkeeper position. There will be a Liverpool player Vítězslav Jaroš, who is currently on loan in St. Patricks, Ireland. The number one is Matěj Kovář from Manchester United, who sat on the A-team bench in the friendly against Ukraine.
The Lions will first play in Pristina on Thursday 7 October and then welcome Kosovo in České Budějovice on Tuesday 12 October.
Compared to the September meeting, Vojtech Patrák from Sparta, Tomáš Zlatohlávek from Vlašim, Michal Hošek from Vlašim and Michal Beran from Pardubice have dropped out of the nomination.
Their places were taken by Matěj Koubek from Bohemians 1905, Jakub Selnar from Jihlava, David Jurásek from Mladá Boleslav and Matěj Žambůrek from Brentford.
“He has been suffering from an ankle injury since April, but now he has played a few games for the Brentford U23 team, we had the opportunity to see his performance and he impressed us so much that we decided to call him up, he will add variety to our game,” Suchopárek said at the press conference. He joined Brentford from Slavia.
