Two goals, celebration with the coach’s hat on! Modeste literally went on a rampage

Anthony Modeste played a starring role in his last game for Cologne. In particular, the fans watched the celebration of the second goal with a look of disbelief on their faces.
Thirty-three-year-old Modeste is one of the most experienced strikers on the European scene. In France, he wore the jersey of Nice and Bordeaux, while in Germany he represented the club colours of Hoffenheim and Cologne. Modeste has been with Cologne since the 2018/2019 season, when the club played in the 2. Bundesliga.
After returning to the top flight, Modeste is experiencing a very productive season right now. He has scored eight times in 11 games, with two goals from that tally in his last game.
Against Union Berlin, Modeste scored early in the game, finishing a teammate’s shot in the seventh minute. The visitors then turned the game in their favour and led 2-1 until the 86th minute. Frenchman Modeste then scored again to tie the game at 2:2.
The celebration of the goal was one of the most memorable moments of the match, and perhaps of the whole season. The player rushed to the Cologne bench with a euphoric expression and hugged members of the management team.
At the moment when coach Baumgart was sending the player back on the field, wanting him to score a third goal and try to get three points, Modeste took the so-called “bekovka” and started dancing in front of him.
Is that for praise or a penalty? Let’s leave it up to the Cologne coach, but he will probably forgive his charges given their productivity in front of the opposition goal. Although he certainly didn’t look too happy at the time…
