There are currently two Czech fighters in the UFC. Lucie Pudilova is making her second stint in the best organization on the planet, and the promising Tereza Bledá is trying to realize her potential on the world stage. Both have already competed in the Octagon. Now they have taken to social media.
While the fighters from the Czech Republic, who are active in the UFC, have more or less trouble-free relationships, it’s a bit the other way around among the female fighters. But the fact is, they also have a history together.
When Lucie Pudilova quit the UFC years ago because the organization didn’t offer her a new contract, she signed with the Octagon. At the time, it was giving the extremely talented Tereza Bleda a chance. The OKTAGON Underground tournament was underway and Bledá asked for a UFC veteran, the toughest possible opponent, right out of the gate.
The duel wasn’t MMA, but under modified rules that suit the more posturing fighters. That’s definitely not what Bledá is, yet she won on points. Afterwards, Pudilova explained what didn’t suit her, but the fans didn’t take her words too seriously.
Pale eventually became the champion of not only Underground, but also the Octagon. However, Pudilova has made her return to the UFC, where her younger compatriot is now. It was addressed that they could still compete in the Octagon under MMA rules, only it didn’t happen.
It’s unlikely to happen in the UFC, however the current situation would almost lend itself to it. Although unfortunately both are fighting in different weight classes. In fact, both fighters have taken to social media to bash each other.
The Czech UFC fighters have been at each other’s throats on Instagram
It all started with a certain Martin Macek, who is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter. He noticed that Lucie Pudilova wants to participate in the ADCC Amateur Championship, a tournament where professionals are not allowed to participate. That’s why he took on the first Czech fighter in the UFC. First in a personal conversation, which he later posted on stories on Instagram.
” Someone somehow forgot that he’s been a pro for 10 years. I guess he doesn’t know how to behave.”
Naturally, Pudilova responded by accusing the young hopeful of allegedly swearing from a fake profile. “If you were normal, you’d write to me normally and you wouldn’t have to try to patronize me again here. I absolutely don’t understand why you care so much. Maybe it’s because my sparring partner is the girl you were afraid to fight. And if someone calls me names, can I fight back, or do you think I’m not even allowed to do that?” the more experienced of the fighters responded.
The former Octagon champion replied that it wasn’t a fake account and that it definitely wasn’t her. She told Pudilova that she should look at her speaking skills and the category she wants to compete in.
“Do you have the nerve that I’m training with a girl you turned down for a match, or are you just following me and feel the need to slander me? I don’t care about you, so don’t you care about me. Thank you,” the former GCF champion responded for a change.
Bledá eventually ended the whole verbal shootout by vowing that she never refused to fight anyone. The aforementioned sparring partner was meant to be Ewelina Wozniak.
