Tvrdík defended Sparta: It would be incomprehensible if they didn’t get an exemption on Thursday

Sparta will play their first game of the Conference Europe playoffs on Thursday. However, it will most likely be driven to victory by only a thousand fans at home. Jaroslav Tvrdík, the head of the board of the rival Slavia, also spoke critically against this.
Sparta, as the team relegated to the Europa Conference play-offs from third place in the Europa League group, will play its first match against Partizan Belgrade at home. Strict government measures are still in place this Thursday, with only 1,000 people allowed into the stadium under the restrictions.
Slavia was saved by the competition system and, as the runners-up, will play its first match against Fenerbahçe in Istanbul, with a home game a week later in front of a half-capacity stadium.
Sparta asked the sanitary station for an exception, as the new and more acceptable rules for entry to the stadium have been in place since Friday morning. Surprisingly, it was not granted and only less than a thousand fans will be able to watch the duel with the Serbian vice-champion.
Sparta fans were annoyed by the decision, especially because other cultural events are unrestricted. Jaroslav Tvrdík, the head of the board of directors of Slavia, also expressed his criticism on his Twitter account.
Sparta still hopes that the decision will be reversed and at least half of the stadium will be able to watch the match. Final information should be released on Wednesday.
