After two weeks, the Champions League returns to the screens. We have some interesting encounters in the second round. What to look forward to?

Inter – Benfica

Last year’s Champions League finalist will challenge last year’s quarter-finalist. Benfica’s first Champions League match went badly wrong. In the 13th minute of the home match against Salzburg, they lost the suspended stopper Antonio Silva and immediately conceded a penalty. In the second half they got their second goal and started very badly.

But Inter didn’t start with a win either. At Real Sociedad’s ground, they were already losing from the 4th minute and finally equalised in the 87th minute.

Manchester United – Galatasaray

Manchester United must make amends for the opening defeat at the Allianz Arena, a second defeat in a row could already be fatal. Galatasaray were supposed to be in the relegation battle, but they blew the first game, already down 0:2 to Copenhagen, but at least they equalised with goals in the 86th and 88th minutes.

Nevertheless, a very strong team will come to Old Trafford, at least according to the names. Mauro Icardi, Hakim Ziyech, Dries Mertens, Wilfried Zaha, Tanguy Ndombele or Lucas Torreira. And United are not in good form at all, having lost again at the weekend and are languishing in 10th place in the table with 9 points.

Napoli – Real Madrid

The biggest showpiece of Tuesday’s schedule. Napoli had the season of their lives last year, dominating Serie A for the first time in years and reaching the Champions League quarter-finals. In particular, the duo of Kvaratskhelia – Osimhen was lethal. But the Nigerian striker is in a dispute with the club and demands to leave, even Kvara isn’t shining as much as last year. He only scored his first goal of the season this week.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, are running like clockwork. With the exception of the Madrid derby defeat, it has won all eight of its competitive matches and is top of La Liga. In the first leg of the Champions League, it was Bellingham’s goal in stoppage time that decided the win over Union.

Napoli struggled a bit to win in Braga. They led from the end of the first half, but the home side equalised in the 84th minute. But four minutes later, Napoli pushed the winning goal home.
