In the 5th round of the Europa League group, Slavia Prague will play the table leader – Dutch Feyenoord Rotterdam. The coach of the team Jindřich Trpišovský talked about how he sees the match.
Jindřich Trpišovský remembers that Slavia lost the first match with Feyenoord 1:2. This time he believes it will be a different match. Slavia’s first half, when they were clearly outplayed by the Dutch, was a failure.
However, Trpišovský believes that the more active team in the upcoming match will be the Sešiovans. The home environment is also playing into their hands. He claims that Feyenoord play away games in a different style. Therefore, it will be a different type of match and he sees a chance for success.
”Feyenoord play a bit differently in away games than at home. He wants to open up space for quick counter-attacks a lot, so he plays more from a secure defence. I don’t think they will go anywhere, maybe in some phases when we play from our own goal,” Trpišovský said at the press conference.
Petr Ševčík will most likely be available to start the important match. He hasn’t decided whether Kuchta or Krmenčík will start. They are different players. He also did not rule out that at some stage of the game they could be on the pitch at the same time.
How does he perceive the importance of the match? “We want to get through Thursday’s game because we feel it is a big game. We are looking forward to it. The game against Feyenoord at home is similar to the game last season in the Europa League. Great atmosphere. If we had clear progression, we would prepare the same way as we are preparing now.”
”I think we have the motivation within us to redeem the performance from Rotterdam and show that we are a different team to the one that performed there. Those are the main motivations. We want to do well, we believe that in the great atmosphere that will be here we will return the favor to Rotterdam and we will be in a comfortable position for promotion,” Trpišovský added.
Slavia Prague’s match against Feyenoord Rotterdam is scheduled for 18:45. Not only Jindřich Trpišovský is looking forward to the match, but also the whole team of the Sešívany. It will also be a very attractive match for the fans.
