Trpišovský and his magic: 10 other players started against Leicester, only Bah remained
If there is anyone who is a master of reshuffling, it is clearly Jindřich Trpišovský. When Slavia played against Leicester in the Europa League in the spring, he sent his strong eleven, but against Union, 10 other players started.
If there is anyone who is a master of reshuffling, it is clearly Jindřich Trpišovský. When Slavia played against Leicester in the Europa League in the spring, he sent his strong eleven, but against Union, 10 other players started.
Jindřich Trpišovský proved this ability already in Žižkov and most of all in Liberec. Every six months, the management sold more than half of the starting line-up, but the 45-year-old strategist always managed to make the new players into a functioning unit again.
He hasn’t had such worries at Slavia so far. If a player left him for a better one, it wasn’t in such numbers, always 2-3 players at most. This summer, only Zima and Sima left the starting lineup, but the Sešiovans are plagued by an extensive turnover.
On top of that, Slavia made it clear that it is more important for them to win the title this year, so the lineup against Union was a bit combined. On Sunday, the Red and Whites will face a very difficult duel with Bohemians in Ďolíček.
But still… There were 10 different players in the line-up against Union than against both games against Leicester. Only Alexander Bah remained on the pitch. And yet Slavia managed to win the game against the Bundesliga opponent.
The line-up against Leicester::
Kolář
Bah – Kúdela – Zima – Bořil
Holeš – Provod
Stanciu
Sima – Kuchta – Olayinka
Line-up against Union::
Mandous
Bah – Ousou – Kacharaba – Dorley
Traoré – Ševčík
Ekpai – Lingr – Masopust
Tecl
Ekpai, Mandous and Schranz adapted to Slavia’s style of play very quickly. Ousou also showed himself in a good light, the other players also showed a good performance.
