It cannot be said that Vitória Guimaraes has had a great start to the new football season. But if there is one thing the club’s management can be satisfied with, it is the performance of Moravian goalkeeper Matouš Trmal.
He took the opportunity to let in only two goals and kept four clean sheets in six competitive matches. He makes no mistakes, looks confident and wins over one fan after another.
Even on social media, the club described him as a safe bet. Moreover, the account managers wrote this exact phrase in Czech. Trmal is simply making a very good name for himself.
The last time the former Slovácko goalkeeper showed his qualities was on Sunday, when Vitória travelled to the strong Braga. Although he was twice saved by the bar, he made six important saves and kept a clean sheet, which meant a 0:0 draw.
According to WhoScored, he earned a perfect 7.53 rating in the match, the highest mark of his team. Only one player from Braga got a better mark.
So the 22-year-old goalkeeper is on a great run. At the very least, he’s on his way to becoming the team’s number one. But he can definitely think about moving on in his career. If he maintains his current performance, it shouldn’t be a problem.
