The renowned website Transfermarkt, which regularly estimates the price of players on the transfer market, has updated the market values of players in the Bundesliga. Czech international Patrik Schick has now reached a value of one billion crowns (40 million euros).
Thanks to his great performances in 2021, Patrik Schick is among the 20 most valuable players in the Bundesliga according to the Transfermarkt website.
However, the site still estimates the highest market value among Czech players for West Ham United midfielder Tomas Soucek.
Patrik Schick started to attract attention with his performances at the Euro, where he helped the Czech national team to the quarter-finals with his 5 goals.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo has scored the same number of goals at the tournament. Thanks to a better assist ratio, the Portuguese won the title of top scorer of the tournament.
However, Transfermarkt did not take Schick’s great performances at the Euros as seriously as some fans might have imagined. The market price for him went up by just 5 million euros (about 125 million crowns) after a successful tournament.
In recent months, however, Schick has really been on a rampage in the Bundesliga. He has already scored 16 goals in 14 games. On average, it took him just 69 minutes to score one goal.
This phenomenal record has certainly caused his current value to rise, which has now reached CZK 1 billion (€40 million).
No wonder, the Bayer Leverkusen striker is on a par with the likes of Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga scorers’ table this season.
The Czech media has also mentioned the interest of French giant PSG in the Czech striker in recent weeks. However, this speculation has not been confirmed by any reputable source.
