The Roosters had high expectations from the current season. They have been led from the bench by Antonio Conte, who has garnered success in all his previous jobs.
The club was also very active in the transfer market, as they managed to bring in six new faces in the summer, strengthening all the necessary positions.
However, nothing went according to plan and another season of turmoil and no success meant the end of Antonio Conte in its wake. The club is now under the temporary management of his former assistant.
The management of the London club is thus intensively searching for an ideal replacement to bring the much-awaited trophy to the club.
There has been loud speculation about Thomas Tuchel, who recently sat on the Bayern Munich bench to replace Julian Nagelsmann, who has suddenly become another adept for the vacant position.
Sky Sport has now come out with the news that Tottenham have already chosen their main target and it should be Vincent Kompany, who has been very successful in leading second division Burnley.
The Belgian started his coaching career at Anderlecht, from where he left last summer to join Burnley, where he has thrived. The English side are already assured of promotion to the Premier League and are dominating their league.
Burnley have a fourteen point lead at the top of the table and have only lost on two occasions. If Tottenham’s interest is genuine, the question naturally arises whether Kompany will want to walk away from a work in progress and stay on the Burnley bench after securing promotion.
