Twenty-one-year-old defender Radu Dragusin will become Tottenham next winter signing. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports. The player and his agent are expected to arrive in London during this noon to undergo a medical.

Tottenham has been very active in the transfer market in recent days. A few days ago, it completed the contract for the guest appearance of German striker Timo Werner. Today, Spurs are expected to bring in reinforcements in the defensive ranks.

Bayern Munich also joined the battle for the young stopper last night, and they were expected to send an interesting offer to Genoa. Tottenham, however, managed to improve their original one overnight and since Spurs had already agreed personal terms with the player two weeks ago, the young Romanian opted for the London club.

Dragusin will sign a contract until June 2029! The transfer fee for Genoa will be 25 million euros, plus a bonus of 5 million euros for very easily achievable personal goals. The player will receive a salary of nearly 3 million euros a year.

The Romanian international’s transfer deal also includes Tottenham defender Djed Spence, who will go the other way on loan to FC Genoa.

The London club will cover the player’s salary as a bonus. After the end of the loan spell, which runs until June this year, Genoa will be able to exercise an optional purchase option that would amount to €10 million.

The 191 centimetres tall, right-footed defender was bought by FC Genoa from Juventus in July 2023 for 5.5 million euros and is now being sold to Tottenham for 25 million. This is thus a very smart and lucrative transfer for the Italian club.

He can thus look forward to the best league in the world, the English Premier League, and his star teammates Heung-Min Son, Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski and others, including new coach Ange Postecoglou, in his new place.
