Tottenham Hotspur have decided to do everything they can to keep Harry Kane. The club has come up with an offer of a new contract worth £400,000 a week. However, the England captain must turn down a tempting transfer to German side Bayern Munich.

Tottenham want to meet Kane’s demands and are offering him an astronomical contract worth £400,000 a week. According to the Daily Telegraph, this sum would make him one of the highest paid players in the English top flight. Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who signed a new contract in 2021, will earn the same amount.

Postecoglou and Tuchel fight for Kane’s favour

Tottenham’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, is trying to convince Kane that his future lies with the Roosters.

Asked if he had received any assurances from club chairman Daniel Levy about Kane’s future, Postecoglou replied: “I have not received any assurances and I would not expect any because when you are dealing with these things you never have anything definite or certain.”

“I’m just kind of moving on and trying to focus on the things that I know right now. What I know at this point is that Harry is part of this team and he’s looking forward to getting back to practice and being around these players and working with them.”

On the other hand, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has already met with the striker and promises him success in the Champions League if he decides to move to Germany.

The amount of the transfer fee is crucial for Levy

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has rejected Bayern’s first £60million offer, sending a clear signal that Kane is worth a huge amount to the club. Bayern responded with a second offer of £70m, but it is still not a sum that will convince Levy. According to the media, Spurs are demanding at least £100m.
