Top coaches have their say on Manchester United’s new manager!
The German coaching school is the top in its field. Just look at how Jürgen Klopp or Thomas Tuchel are doing in the Premier League. But the breadth of football experts from our western neighbours doesn’t just end in the Premier League.
The German coaching school is the top in its field. Just look at how Jürgen Klopp or Thomas Tuchel are doing in the Premier League. But the breadth of football experts from our western neighbours doesn’t just end in the Premier League. Megatalented coach Julian Nagelsmann leads a footballing giant in the form of Bayern Munich, followed by Hans-Dieter Flick, who led the Bavarian big club to a proverbial treble and then took charge of the German national team.
These are all big names with enormous quality. And when the news broke on the football scene that Ralf Rangnick would take over at Manchester United, most of the football public in the Czech Republic wondered and asked who is he?
It didn’t go unnoticed by many Manchester United fans who had to track down who Ralf Rangnick was after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjær. And judging by what names like Jürgen Klopp and Julian Nagelsmann have to say about the German expert, who has been around football since 1983, Red Devils fans have a lot to look forward to.
“Unfortunately (for us), a very experienced coach who has built two teams from nothing is coming to England. Manchester United will be organised on the pitch. Of course, that’s not good news for the other teams,” Jürgen Klopp said.
Rangnick has made no secret of the fact that he is very close to the so-called heavy metal football that Klopp plays. The 63-year-old football expert was also involved in the creation of the so-called Gegenpressing and has influenced the work of many successful German coaches during his career, led by Klopp.
He is also known for devoting a large portion of his training to practicing standard situations. After all, in football 30% of goals are scored after standard situations and Rangnick knows this very well.
“With his concept of the game, Manchester United will be a very good team. I hope he stays at the club for a long time,” said 34-year-old coaching talent Julian Nagelsmann.
