The Polish mixed martial artist won the UFC strawweight championship belt in 2015, defeating Carla Esparza in a one-sided decision. She defended that belt five consecutive times before losing to Rose Namajunas at UFC 217 in her first professional MMA loss.

In 2020, Jedrzejczyk made her indelible mark on the history of not only women’s MMA when she put on a bloody war with Zhang Weili. She had a rematch with the latter at UFC 275, where she became UFC champion Jiri Prochazka. After another loss, the Pole retired from her active career as a professional wrestler.

8. place – Rachael Ostovich

Hawaiian flyweight Rachael Ostovich made her professional debut in January 2014, which she lost by TKO in the 2nd round.

Despite that initial loss, Ostovich continued to fight and eventually earned a spot on The Ultimate Fighter 26. She won her opening fight at the event via ‘armbar’ but lost a unanimous points decision in the quarterfinals, leading to her elimination.

After the show, Ostovich was signed to the UFC, where she has a record of two losses. Ostovich tested positive for Ostarine in early 2020 due to a dietary supplement and was subsequently suspended for eight months by USADA.

She had a 7-0 record in MMA before facing the famous Cris Cyborg in her first high-profile women’s MMA fight in 2009. She was eventually defeated, forcing her to retire.

After Waterson racked up a 14-3 record in MMA, she made the move to the famed UFC in 2015. There, she holds a record of six wins and five losses. Despite her MMA career, Waterson is still modeling and has appeared on many TV shows due to her looks.

3. place – Miesha Tate

Don’t let her looks fool you! Miesha “Cupcake” Tate is one of the toughest women to ever step into the octagon. The former UFC and Strikeforce bantamweight champion has had an amazing MMA career inside and outside the cage.

Her love for grappling inspired her to begin her MMA career in 2007. Tate won the UFC bantamweight championship belt in 2016 when she defeated Holly Holm. She lost the belt to Amanda Nunes later that year and retired from fighting in November after another loss.

She made it to the UFC in 2018, where she has an impressive record of seven wins and two losses. She is ranked fourth in the strawweight division in the world’s largest MMA organization. Her current record in MMA is 12-2.

Paige VanZant was at one point one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster. The Oregon native stumbled upon Ken Shamrock’s MMA gym when she was looking for a dance studio as a teenager.

She began training boxing and jiu jitsu, eventually competing in her first amateur fight at the age of 18. In 2013, the UFC signed VanZant to become part of their newly formed strawweight division.

The wrestler’s looks and fighting skills have earned her many opportunities outside of the cage. She continues to model for brands like Nike and owns extremely profitable accounts on Instagram and Only Fans.

As of August 2020, the UFC has not renewed her contract, but she has not given up fighting. She’s currently getting a taste of wrestling without gloves and has even cut her debut in wrestling.
