Tonight he will challenge Kozma for the title, this is how he first defeated Procházka 9 years ago

David Kozma will again defend his Octagon Welterweight title tonight. His opponent will be Bojan Velickovic, who is one of only three fighters to defeat our biggest MMA star.
It was December 9, 2012. Two talented fighters stepped into the cage together at Balkan Fighter Night. Namely, the then 23-year-old Bojan Velickovic and 20-year-old Jiri Prochazka.
Both of them were destined for great careers and it can be said that they were right. Anyway, the Serbian fighter won the fight in the first round. It was the first professional defeat of the Moravian fighter in his career. He had won four times before. Velickovic improved his record to a solid 8-1 with the win.
Since then, however, the careers of the two fighters have more or less diverged. While Prochazka has developed into one of the best fighters on the planet and has a fantastic 28-3 record, Velickovic has lost quite a few fights.
However, the Serbian still has 6 fights under his belt in the UFC (2-3-1) and has fought in the prestigious PFL. A 20-10-2 record may not sound all that great, but it’s worth noting that Velickovic has only been stopped early once. Otherwise, all of his losses have been on points.
So it’s understandable that he’s a slight favorite against David Kozma. He has wrestled more experienced and better fighters, however, the Octagon champion has been through the ringer in the form of Apollo, so he certainly shouldn’t lack confidence.
Will the Octagon have a new champion, or can Kozma defend his belt?
