Tomáš Vaclík already has a new engagement! Neither Real Madrid nor Naples, the national team player is heading to Greece

Tomáš Vaclík’s contract in Sevilla expired on 30 June and it was unknown what would happen next. The national goalkeeper had been performing well at the Euros, and it was expected that he would have no shortage of offers. In the end, however, things turned out differently than expected.

After the end of the season, speculations started that Real Madrid were looking for an experienced double to Thibaut Courtois.

The young Ukrainian Andriy Lunin was supposed to go on loan, but in the end he will stay at the club, so this option falls through.

There was also talk that Tomas Vaclik was headed to Napoli. However, that probably won’t happen either, as the national goalkeeper will sign elsewhere.

According to EuroFotball, Vaclik is most likely to sign for Olympiakos in Greece this weekend.

Olympiakos easily defended their league title last season and advanced from the Champions League group to the spring part of the Europa League. This season, he will start in the second round of the Champions League.

For Vaclik, the key factor was to catch. He didn’t like the season he had in Sevilla and, in his own words, he believes he still has what it takes to reach the highest level.

At Olympiakos, his competition between the sticks would be 28-year-old Portuguese Jose Sa. The Greeks also have 18-year-old Konstantinos Tzolakis and 32-year-old Ogmundur Kristinsson at their disposal.
