Before the interesting duel between West Ham and Manchester United, there was a lot of talk not only about Cristiano Ronaldo, but also about Tomáš Souček. The United legend even sees him as the ideal reinforcement for Manchester!
Manchester United have a star-studded squad this year. Even so, former England international Trevor Sinclair sees a weakness in the middle of midfield.
He would prefer to see Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice there. “Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic are not that good. Soucek and Rice are the best you can get in the Premier League right now for the centre of midfield,” Sinclair said in praise.
“Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek would be the perfect signings for Manchester,” the English football legend added.
Soucek’s name had previously been linked with a potential move to United, but the transfer did not materialise. That, by all accounts, still saddens Sinclair. “Soucek is unbelievable, he has unique running skills, he is absolutely unbeatable in both of the two hexes.”
In the end, Sinclair praised Soucek and Rico once again. “The quality of both players has helped David Moyes build a team that is competitive in the Premier League and in Europe,” said Trevor Sinclair.
