Tomas Pekhart is in great form at the beginning of the season. Against Ordabasy he scored a goal that was eventually a promotion

The beginning of the current season found Tomáš Pekhart in great form. In yesterday’s Conference League game he scored another goal, which became the decisive one.

The Czech forward is in great form at the beginning of the season. Tomas Pekhart returned to Legia Warszawa in January this year after a not so successful stint at Turkish club Gaziantep.

He spent only four months in Turkey and scored a single goal. He subsequently agreed to terminate his contract with the club.

Now he can enjoy a rocket start to the 2023/2024 season, which he and his teammates celebrated by winning the Polish Super Cup, beating league champions Raków Częstochowa on penalties. In that case, Pekhart has yet to score a goal.

He scored his first goal of the season a game later against LKS Lodz and didn’t stop at just one. He scored a hat-trick against the newcomer in the Polish top league.

He also managed to score a very valuable goal in the opening match of the Conference League qualification. It led to the reduction of the badly played match against the Kazakh club Ordabasy. In the end, Legia managed to erase the two-goal deficit and equalise.

The Polish team also managed a home rematch, which they entered brilliantly and were already up by two goals during the first half. Ordabasy reduced the deficit after less than half an hour of play, but a few minutes later Tomas Pekhart scored again.

Due to the goal of the Kazakh club, which fell towards the end of the match, the goal of the Czech goal scorer became the decisive one.

Tomáš Pekhart has been enjoying great shooting form at the beginning of the season, scoring five goals in four competitive matches.
