Today’s showcase: the Czech army will go against Poland without a king
Patrik Schick is the king of Czech football again, but he will not lead the army against Poland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers due to injury. The Hall of Fame was graced by a woman who makes both Slavia and Sparta proud. Apparently only Sparta wants the Czech title. And Barcelona the Spanish one.

King Patrik Schick will not lead the army
The king of footballers remains the striker Patrik Schick, although the year 2022 was not as shining as the previous one, when he became the top scorer of the Euro (together with some Ronaldo), no one dethroned him.
Sadly, he won’t lead his charges into an important clash against the Polish side in an important 2024 European Championship qualifier in Germany, the country where he plays and scores goals for Bayer Leverkusen. A naughty groin won’t allow him to grip his thumb.
So perhaps coach Jaroslav Šilhavy will find another leader.
The Empress has graced the Hall of Fame
For the first time, a woman has entered the Hall of Fame of Czech football – Eva Haniaková. This historic honour was enjoyed by a lady who linked her football career – playing and coaching – with two of the most popular Czech clubs and eternal rivals, Slavia and Sparta.
Both of the most popular and successful Czech clubs can be proud of their empress and she will be the hall’s centrepiece.
Only Sparta wants the title
The moaning that nobody wants the championship title is over. There is one bidder, and he wants it to an unprecedented degree – Sparta Prague. While defending champion Viktoria Plzeň and Slavia, still the table leaders, are struggling with their own imperfections and losing points where they shouldn’t, the Reds are on their way.
The suggestion that the matches of truth, the derby with Slavia and the duel with Plzeň, are yet to come, both hosted by Sparta at home at Letná, is justified. However, those who want to be the best must also master these duels.
Barcelona also wants the title
Barcelona won the famous Spanish El Clásico, beating Real Madrid 2-1. The own goal that sent the visitors into the lead did not break it. Sergi Roberto equalised in the last minute of the first half and Franck Kessié scored the winner in stoppage time. That’s the end of the half!
The Catalans have jumped to twelve points from their rivals, proving that they want the title too.
