TNS have shown their strength. It won’t be easy, says Michal Bílek before the game

Michal Bílek’s charges saw off Dynamo Brest from the European scene with two 2-1 wins. Now the Welsh club The New Saints await them in the 3rd round of the Conference League. What did Viktoria Plzeň’s head coach and captain Lukáš Hejda have to say about it?
“New Saints have strong and running players in the offensive line. Thetop striker is not very big, but he will do a great job,” Michal Bílek describes the opponents.
Declan McManus will most likely start at the tip of the attack. Plzeň’s stoppers will have to watch out for him, as he has a 0.75 goals per game record.
“I expect TNS to be hardworking. They play easier at the back and try to play on fast breaks and standard situations. They have an awkward transition into attack and quick players on the flanks,” says Lukas Hejda about the Welsh side.
In fact, the cooperation of fast wingers, edge defenders and a skilful playmaker are The New Saints’ biggest weapons.
The combination of these players scored four goals out of ten in the previous round against Zalgiris.
“They are awe-inspiring, it’s certainly no coincidence. It just proves that TNS have their quality. They scored a lot of goals from standard situations or after opportunities created by force. We have to watch out for that,” warns Lukáš Hejda.
“It’s not exactly easy to win twice in the preliminaries with five goals. TNS showed their strength. It is arunning, honest and aggressive team,” praises the opponent coach Bílek.
The New Saints will challenge Plzeň at the beautiful 33,280-capacity Cardiff stadium, where the Premier League itself used to be played.
“I was really looking forward to playing in such a beautiful stadium with great grass,” praises the Pilsen captain.
