Is this your favourite spot or did you learn it at the World Cup in Qatar?

I won’t comment on that, I won’t give anything away.

Were you intended to take the penalty or did you take it?

The penalty goes to whoever feels like it. As one of the more experienced players, I accepted the responsibility and took the ball myself.

Other players have complained that the terrain at the Tony Bezzina Stadium is worse than the national Ta’Qali. Do you have the same observation?

There is a difference, but it’s still better than preparing at home in Liberec. We take the tournament in Malta as a preparation, we want to win every game of course, but we are not chasing results,

How do you like it here?

It’s my second time here, the weather is beautiful, we have very good conditions for training. It was windy when we arrived, but it’s fine now.

Coach Lubos Kozel said that the sea is the best way to harden and regenerate. Have you got in yet?

There’s a small beach opposite our hotel, but the sea was dirty. When it’s better, I’ll go.
