The sight did not please any fan, not just golf fans. Pictures of the wrecked car of golf’s most famous player, Tiger Woods, have been flying around the world. Many people talked of a miracle when he escaped with “only” multiple fractures in his right leg. More than five months have passed since that fateful day on February 23. However, according to unofficial sources, it looks like treatment is progressing in the right direction.
Indeed, any official statements from the doctors or directly from the winner of fifteen majors are scarce. But Tiger’s fans are very interested in his health.
So sometimes we have to take a photo catch from a fan who meets the American golfer on the street.
According to the last one, Tiger moves with the help of crutches with his leg fixed in a special bandage, which he can already step on easily.
Far more specific was his course mate, rival and friend Rickie Fowler at the recent 3M Open. He has visited Woods in person several times at his home in Florida.
“I know he is constantly and honestly rehabilitating. It takes him most of the day. He gives it his all. But it’s very demanding. He’s come a long way, but he’s got a long way to go,” Fowler said of Woods’ health.
“This was something completely different, much more serious. I’ve had enough injuries in the past so I know a little bit about the rehab process, but this is more painful than anythingI’ve ever experienced before.”
He didn’t even get questions about a possible return to the field at the time: “I’m fully occupied with my rehab and physiotherapy. I’m going through a routine every day, working out and focusing on my number one goal, which is to walk again. I’m taking it one step at a time,” Woods commented two months ago on his immediate plans.
But people around the golf legend say a return to the fairways is not out of the question for Tiger. For many, he is a tough fighter who is going for it.
He’s approaching his rehab accordingly. Woods himself admitted in the aforementioned interview that when his legs aren’t working for now, he’s been honestly strengthening at least his upper body.
