It hasn’t even been a month since Tiger Woods’ big comeback at the famous Masters and already speculation is starting about the next tournament the famous golfer might play. He has already confirmed his participation in The Open in June. But there is a chance that he could be on the PGA Tour much sooner.

Although Tiger Woods had hopes of triumphing at the Masters in April, his biggest victory was finishing the tournament at all. Last February, he flew his SUV off the road at high speed, after which paramedics literally had to cut him out of the car.

He nearly lost his right leg in the process. Doctors had to repair several splinter fractures to his tibia and fibula with a metal rod, and also had to deal with torn tendons and muscles during the operation. Golf was an afterthought at the time; it was important to get back on your feet.

The Masters was the first tournament since that car accident. You could see in the footage that as the tournament progressed, Tiger’s injuries were limiting him more and more, and he limped off at the end of the Augusta tournament. Even so, with a smile on his face, he received applause and recognition.

The next challenge that the forty-six year old winner of fifteen majors looked for was the 150th anniversary edition of The Open. That is, a tournament that trails closely behind its most famous sibling, the Masters. Then he added the J.P. McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor, Ireland, a week earlier, to his list.

But now Tiger has been spotted at Southern Hills in Tulsa, where the second major of the year – the PGA Championship – will be held in just two weeks.

A certain Cary Cozby, the director of golf at Southern Hills, made Woods a caddie at the local pride during a practice eighteen-hole round. He had reportedly been told in advance that Tiger Woods was interested in playing in the PGA Championship. But until the golf legend himself arrived on the course, Cozby promised secrecy.

Cozby said that Tiger was in great shape and enjoyed the whole game immensely. He said he didn’t see a single hitch that limited Woods in any way during his play. He said he is even registered for the major championship. If there are no health complications with his operated leg in the next few days, he could actually play in the tournament.

The last time Tiger Woods won the PGA Championship at Southern Hills was in 2007. Cary Cozby described his return to Oklahoma as highly likely.
