Slavia failed to win the opening match of the European Conference play-offs, losing 1:2 to Rakow. Slovácko, on the other hand, beat AIK Stockholm 3:1. How did the other teams do, especially the competitors in the fight for the coefficient TOP 15?

European League

In the Europa League, most of the results played into the hands of the Czech coefficient. Turkish Sivasspor fell to Malmö 1::3, Danish Silkeborg failed to beat HJK Helsinki 0::1, and the draw between Greek Olympiakos and Cypriot Apollon was also pleasing.

Filip Novák of the Czech Republic played for Fenerbahce Istanbul in the 79th minute and helped them to win 2:0 against Austria Vienna. The coefficient is not very pleasing, as well as the victory of Swiss FC Zurich over Hearts 2: 1.

One should also be wary of the Cypriot teams, two of which have started well in the Europa League. Larnaca won 2::1 at the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk and Omonia Nicosia surprisingly eliminated Ghent by winning 2::0.

Conference league

In the Conference League, several results played into the hands of the Czech future. Swiss Basel fell 0:1 to CSKA Sofia and Young Boys Bern lost 0:1 to Anderlecht, Norwegian Molde lost 0:1 to Wolfsburg and Croatian Hajduk Split fell 2:4 to Villarreal.

West Ham, with two Czechs in their squad, beat Danish Viborg 3:1 at home, Israeli Beer Sheva drew with Craiova 1:1, and the same result ended the match between Turkish Basaksehir and Antwerp.

Not so positive are the wins of the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv 1::0 over Nice, Viking 2::1 over FCSB and Serbian Partizan Belgrade 4::1 over Hamrun. The Slovaks are not happy about the loss of Slovan Bratislava to Zrinjski from Bosnia.

The return leg is scheduled for next Thursday and a full list of results can be found on the UEFA website.
