Thursday’s Cups: Slovan fell ignominiously in Armenia, Czech Republic’s coefficient competitors unfortunately scored heavily
The second round of the European Cup groups has been played, Slavia is still in the promotion places with four points, while Slovácko is in last place in the company of Cologne, Partizan and Nice. How did the other teams play?

Europa League
Tomáš Vaclík was in goal for Olympiakos in their loss to Freiburg of Germany (0:3), with the game decided after just 25 minutes (0:2). Filip Novák did not feature in Fenerbahce’s match against Rennes of France.
The losses of Olympiakos and Fenerbahce fit the Czech coefficient, similarly to the successes of Sociedad over Omonia of Cyprus 2::1 and Larnaca of Cyprus at the expense of Dynamo Kiev of Ukraine. After all, Ukraine is a bit closer to us in the rankings.
On the other hand, the wins of Danish Midtjylland over Lazio 5::1, Turkish Trabzonspor over Crvena Zvezda 2::1, Norwegian Boda Glimt over Zurich are not pleasing. Especially Trabzonspor is disappointing, because the Turks still have four representatives in Europe.
European Conference League
The Czech footprint was also visible in the Conference League. Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček were there for the win over Silkeborg, while Jaromír Zmrhal was there for Slovan Bratislava’s shameful loss to Pjunik Yerevan. Antonín Barák did not prevent Fiorentina from losing 0:3 to Basaksehir.
The Czech coefficient is also playing into the hands of Djurgarden against Norwegian vice-champion Molde, Villarreal’s win over Hapoel Beer Sheva and of course the aforementioned loss to Silkeborg of Denmark.
However, more results are not pleasing. Namely the victory of Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk over Apollon, Turkish Sivasspor over Cluj, Swiss Basel over Zalgiris and the unexpected success of Basaksehir against Fiorentina.
