Alfa Romeo will run the upcoming Italian Grand Prix in a special livery. In this way, the team wants to pay tribute to the latest 33 Stradale model, which takes inspiration from the 1967 model of the same name, in a home race.
This design, it must be said, has been a real success. The C43 monoblocs will, of course, bear the Italian tricolour above all.
In addition, however, gold elements are clearly visible on the car. You can see the look of Alfa Romeo’s formula for the Italian Grand Prix in the attached image below.
In terms of results this season, Alfa Romeo is currently in penultimate place in the Constructors’ Cup, having scored only nine points so far. However, it is only two points behind eighth-placed Haas, with a six-point lead over last-placed AlphaTauri.
The Alfa Romeo drivers have split the team’s points so far pretty evenly. Valtteri Bottas has scored five points this year, Zhou Guangyu four.
“This design is probably one of the most beautiful we’ve ever had on a car. And to be able to show it off in front of the home crowd – including hundreds of our Hinwil team members in the stands – is an honour for all of us,” said team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi in an official statement.
“Personally, I am thrilled about the legacy of the 33 Stradale, the original 1967 model was an iconic car that influenced the style and design of a generation and beyond, and its latest incarnation embodies that entire heritage while setting the course for the future of the Alfa Romeo brand,” he added.
