Prague Slavia will play the second match of the group stage of the Conference Europa League against Ballkani from Kosovo. Lukáš Provod will be part of the nomination for the match as he should finally be medically fit. What did he say at the press conference?
The first match did not go as expected. Slavia took an early lead at Sivasspor, but the Turkish opponent levelled the game, the score and eventually a point for a 1-1 draw.
The performance of Sivas was not good, but a draw from an away match is not bad. However, they will need to make up for it at home in Eden, where they will challenge Kosovo’s Ballkani.
“For us players, they are a bit of an unknown team, we saw part of the match with Cluj on Tuesday, we had a video. It won’t be easy at all, just like us, the opponent has gone through three preliminary rounds, it shows quality.
Their style will be different than what we are used to from the league, which teams play against us. They’re trying to play football, they’re starting from the back a lot. It’s a tough game, we’re playing at home, but we have a lot of confidence, a lot of fans coming, a sold-out stadium, we’re looking forward to it,” said Lukáš Provod at the press conference.
He has had a long time problem with injuries, which have always kept him out for a few games. But now he should be back and he wants to get back to national team form.
“As for my condition and deployment, I feel 100% healthy, my condition is moving towards better with minutes and time. Iwill be ready for Thursday and we will see if the coach puts me in,” he added.
Slavia’s match against Ballkani is scheduled for today from 18:45. If you can’t make it to Eden, you will at least be able to watch it on Sport 1.
