Jamahal Hill looks for the return of his title challenger. Jiri Prochazka is slowly returning to full training and on the anniversary of winning his UFC championship, he is sending a clear message towards Hill. Is a big comeback in the works?
Champion Hill is running out of patience
A year ago, Jiri Prochazka celebrated winning the UFC welterweight championship belt when he defeated veteran Glover Teixeira in a crazy five-round cut with just seconds left in the fight. He was supposed to defend against the same fighter late last year, but a serious shoulder injury sidelined him.
The Brazilian subsequently got a new opponent in the form of then-ranked No. 6 Jamahal Hill. However, he was not able to hold his own in the clash of generations and the organization crowned a new champion.
President Dana White, however, took a liking to the native of Hostěradice in South Moravia and promised him an immediate title shot as soon as his shoulder was fixed. The preliminary date was set for the end of summer, but everything depends on Prochazka’s health.
Only Jamahal Hill is getting nervous about the unclear situation. In the last video, in which he was interviewed by the world-famous journalist The Schmo, he announced that his patience has run out and he is looking for a new opponent.
There will be a fight, Procházka sends a clear message! Is he going to make a big comeback?
But on the anniversary of winning the UFC title, Prochazka posted a message on his social media that is surely directed at the current division champion. Will there be a fight?
“Today is exactly one year since winning the UFC title. I have changed many things in my life since then, but the Journey and Passion to be a true Champion and Master of the field has burned much brighter in me,” he used his injury in pushing his skills.
“I will take the title clear and clean in a few months,” enticing his fans to return soon. “There will be a fight, and the fight is a joy!”
In the story, he shared a photo with Tim Simpson, manager of his Paradigm Sports stable. So, is a big return to the cage being arranged behind the scenes and will Champion Hill get the coveted fight with the Czech Samurai?
