If anyone had concerns about Harry Kane, it’s clear by now that they were unnecessary. Immediately after arriving at Bayern Munich, the English striker has shot to prominence and has so far fully replaced former attacking stalwart Robert Lewandowski. Coach Thomas Tuchel, in particular, is delighted.

Kane started for Munich in the opening game against Bremen and contributed a goal and an assist in the 4-0 win. He scored two more goals against Augsburg before scoring again in the fourth round against Leverkusen.

Tuchel now has the striker he wanted so much before the season. Moreover, it’s not just about goals, but the German coach also praises Kane’s involvement in the deep field.

“There is no doubt that he will be our leader. Harry has been doing that for a few years now. Year after year he has had Tottenham on his shoulders. He has done it with his style – calm, humble and friendly. When you need to be calm under pressure, he can do it,” UEFA quoted the former PSG and Chelsea coach as saying.

Kane has played 430 games for Tottenham, scoring 278 goals, and has made 86 starts for the England national team, scoring 59 goals. Moreover, he has had a number of very difficult games with the team, as well as with Spurs, with whom he once reached the Champions League final.

“He knows how to retreat deep into the box, turn, take advantage of the speed of the players around him. He can be in the penalty area at the right time and is an excellent finisher and a good penalty taker. He will always be a difference maker in any match. In time he will improve our players around him, he will learn how to let them excel,” Tuchel is delighted with the presence of the English striker in his team.

The primary goal of the Champions League

The 30-year-old Englishman has traded the chance to become the Premier League’s top scorer for the chance to win the club trophy that has continually eluded him at Tottenham.

Many fans wish him success, which is certainly achievable. After all, Bayern Munich are definitely among the favourites to win the Champions League title, and the Bundesliga is out of the question.

This evening, the Munich team will start the new Champions League season with a clash against Manchester United, who are not doing well at the start. However, it would certainly be a big mistake to underestimate this team. Nevertheless, a clear victory for the home side is widely expected, which could and should be helped significantly by Kane.
