There is a new king in the Octagon! I want to corner Vemola, says the new challenger of the Pirate
Karlos Vémola announced during the week that he is unable to participate in the title game against the Pirates. Immediately, there was some speculation about who would replace him. Now it is clear. Samuel Kristofich will face Patrik Kinclo.
Karlos Vémola announced during the week that he is unable to participate in the title game against the Pirates. Immediately, there was some speculation about who would replace him. Now it is clear. Samuel Kristofich will face Patrik Kinclo.
His name has also been linked to a possible replacement for Karlos Vemola, but his alternate starts in the new RFA organization were also in play. But in the end, Patrik Kincl will fight for the Octagon title.
RFA preferred Kincl because of the possibility of alternate starts, as he wants to continue building his reputation in the Polish KSW organization. However, the Octagon will likely accommodate him.
That’s why he will fight Pirate for the Oktagon middleweight championship belt on December 30. This is great news for several reasons. Because his desired rematch with Vemola is on the line.
“Winning the title from Pirate means several things to me. Valuable scalps, showing myself to the Czech fans who don’t know me, and putting Karlos Vemola in a corner. There is a new king in the Octagon,” says the new star of the biggest Czechoslovak MMA organization.
Kincl is likely to be the favourite in the fight with Samuel Kristofich. He is much more experienced and has had tougher fights.
While the Slovakian fighter holds a record of 15::3, Kincl has managed to wrestle 34 fights (24::10). He even fought his way to a title fight in the Polish KSW organization, but fell short against probably the best welterweight in Europe, Robert Soldic.
Will he redeem himself against Pirate and win the valuable title? We will find out on December 30th.
