The UFC 284 gala in Perth, Australia, had an unexpected visitor
According to the Mirror, budding YouTuber MikeyT snuck into the numbered UFC 284 event without a ticket and managed to join Alexander Volkanovski’s entrance into the cage.
The Australian youngster had prepared thoroughly for his event, scouring the internet for any information on what the tournament was like. First, he forged credentials for UFC employees and purchased similar clothes to what the staff of the largest MMA organization in the world wear.
On that day, the young man hung around outside the tournament venue, the RAC Arena in Perth, pretending to be a cameraman. In an unguarded moment, he then showed off his entrance to the arena by walking straight through the front door saying “media employee”.
The intruder even accompanied the tournament’s biggest star
Once inside, he couldn’t believe his eyes and headed straight for the media room. From there, he managed to make his way to the area around the cage through an unassuming security guard. Meanwhile, the area was closed to the general public.
After following Justin Tafa backstage after his stunning KO, he decided to perform a feat that made him a social media star, joining the entrance of the biggest star of the night, fellow countryman Alexander Volkanovski.
He walked alongside Volkanovsky to the octagon itself for the biggest fight of the fighter’s career to date. The king of the P4P rankings across the weight classes suffered a narrow loss to Makhachev that night, but the young YouTuber instead tasted the biggest win of his life so far.
“Okay guys, I still can’t believe what we just did,” he said at the end of the video he shared. I’m running out of words about how it all played out, because originally I thought I was just going to sneak into the event and watch the games.”
“But the fact that we were able to do all those things, to literally get to the cage, go backstage and even accompany the biggest star of the whole tournament,” he praised his feat. “That was just incredible. I hope you all enjoyed the video,” he concluded.
The young youtuber had a big win that night. However, UFC owner Dana White, in particular, won’t be too happy with the security guards that were supposed to provide security at the event.
