The worst foul of 2021? Look at the crazy KO in the Brazilian league
There are interventions that are really over the edge. But what Caetano did is on a whole other level. The Clube de Regatas defender, who plays in Brazil’s Serie B, absolutely slaughtered Botafogo’s Rafael Navarro.
There are interventions that are really over the edge. But what Caetano did is on a whole other level. The Clube de Regatas defender, who plays in Brazil’s Serie B, absolutely slaughtered Botafogo’s Rafael Navarro.
Brazilian defender Caetano, who is on loan at CRB from Corinthians, got a red card in the game against Botafogo that he will not forget for a long time. And neither will his “victim”, Rafael Navarro.
In the 31st minute, with the game scoreless, the home player went one-on-one with Caetano, who was not interested in the ball.
Navarro flicked the ball past his opponent, but he wouldn’t let it pass and karate chopped it right into his face.
Caetano, of course, got a straight red card. According to the fans, this is one of the worst tackles of 2021.
At first Navarro didn’t move at all and looked like he was really seriously hurt. Luckily, the 21-year-old footballer got back on his feet a moment later and finished the game. The incident left him with only a large bloody cut on his nose.
Moreover, Navarro’s footballing karma paid him back. First he passed for the first goal, then he celebrated his team’s winning goal, which came in the second half.
