The witness tips his hat to Petržela. A stamp on Slovácko’s win? I wish such matches were sold out, he says

Big game, big win. Slovácko managed to beat AIK Stockholm 3:0 in the last qualifying round of the European Conference League. The qualification is still not official, but it is close. What did coach Martin Svedik say after the game?
At least someone made the local football crowd happy on Thursday. Slavia fell short against Rakow Częstochowa from Poland. However, Slovácko? That was a different story. Literally.
The Moravians won 3-0 at home against Stockholm. They completely outplayed their opponents, supported by more than 6,000 fans who created a great atmosphere. Coach Martin Svědík also praised the atmosphere.
“I’m just sorry, even though we are in a smaller town… I just wish we had a sellout and a full house for these games. It’s a shame. I’m expecting people to help us and come in even bigger numbers,” the acclaimed coach expressed at the post-match press conference.
That was pretty much the only blemish on the match. Although Svedik also mentioned a few mistakes in the attacking phase or not adding a second goal during the first half. Slovácko had more good chances.
“But otherwise I think our game had parameters all the time. Especially in the attacking phase. But it’s only half-time. In Sweden, we will face a stormy environment and it will be a difficult match. We have to be careful,” he is clear.
He also gave a big hug to Milan Petržela. At 39 years old, he was a difference maker and put in an outstanding performance both offensively and defensively. Moreover, he crowned his performance with a goal. Svědík has one regret. That he didn’t add another goal.
