The UFC is set to fight for the vacant “baddest motherf***r” title! It will be won by one of the two who always put on electrifying fights

At the end of July, world MMA fans will get one of the most hyped tournaments of the year at UFC 291. Headlining the entire gala will be a rematch between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje, to which Dana White has thrown in the possibility of a title shot for the baddest motherf***er on the planet.

With Masvidal’s retirement from fighting, the title for the baddest motherf***er on the planet has become vacant

After nearly four years, mixed martial arts fans will be treated to a title fight that, while it doesn’t mean division champion status, still draws the attention of many of the organization’s stars.

One of the most anticipated fights of the year took place in November 2019 and it had a special touch. “The Stockton Brawler” Nate Diaz, who is most famous as the first executioner of the star Conor McGregor in the UFC’s ranks, just had a victory over Anthony Pettis.

After his impressive win, he proclaimed himself as the organization’s biggest goon, which Dana White subsequently took advantage of. When Diaz’s bout with Jorge Masvidal was announced, the organization’s president threw in the BMF title of “baddest motherf***er on the planet”. He even had a special belt made.

Masvidal won the belt in the subsequent fight when the doctor had to stop the fight due to Diaz’s numerous injuries. The Florida fighter became one of the organization’s biggest stars and held the belt until his retirement in April this year.

The fight will be contested by some of the UFC’s most entertaining fighters

Immediately after his retirement announcement, speculation began to swirl as to whether the title would be renewed and fans began posting their picks. Among the biggest favorites, of course, was the biggest star of the PPV broadcasts, Conor McGregor.

But the organization eventually announced other names. Namely, the number two and three lightweight division’s Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will clash for the vacant title of the baddest motherf***er on the planet.

They will do battle in the main event of the UFC 291 gala held on July 29 in Utah. The two men have already faced each other in 2018, where Poirier eventually won the memorable war by a fourth-round technical knockout.

Immediately after the confirmation, critical comments surfaced among fans regarding the selection of fighters for such a title shot. Both men, in fact, mostly respect their opponents and appear conciliatory in public. But once the octagon door closes, we always get electrifying fights.
