Martin Hašek Jr. is currently playing for Turkish second league club Erzurumspor, where he joined as a free agent after his stint at Würzburger in Germany. How did his move develop and what did his father Martin Hašek senior say about it?

Martin Hašek had a clean slate after finishing at Würzburger. His eventual new club would not carry any further financial burden.

Hašek is now playing in the Turkish second league Erzurumspor. “The second Turkish league does not match Martin’s abilities and what he has already done and what he has in front of him, his ambitions are higher,” Hašek Sr. said in an interview with Aktuálně.

“But if he does well, he can move up to the first one, which is already at a higher level than the Czech one,” he added. Before his contract with Sparta was terminated, Hašek could have joined Besiktas, but the club’s management feared possible monetary complications.

Hašek has already played two games for Erzurumspor, in which he was one of the best players of his team, which was also praised by the fans.

Martin Hašek senior also has his second son abroad, Filip Hašek, who plays in the second Greek league.

Because of this, he said that the Hašek family cannot play in Czech football. And from the looks of it, he’s probably not too far from the truth.
