The stars are gone, but Koeman sees a bright future for Barcelona, which he wants to coach for many years to come

Ronald Koeman is certainly not having an easy job this season with one outstanding player after another disappearing. So he has no choice but to build a new team that he would like to stay with for many years.
However, this season will be absolutely crucial for Koeman as he only has a contract at Camp Nou for the next few months. However, there is talk in Spain that Joan Laporta will keep the Dutch coach on hold, which is logical given the current situation.
“I am open to a contract extension and I hope to coach Barcelona for many more years,” Koeman said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.
“I have had two very difficult moments at the club. The first happened at the end of last season and the second one last week. However, I am looking forward, I have a good relationship with the president and everyone else, this club has a great future, ” the Dutch coach has no doubts about FCB’s success.
Barcelona is being kept afloat in the new season, especially by Frenkie de Jong, who was absolutely crucial in all three games to get 7 points.
Another Dutchman, Memphis Depay, is also doing well, with one assist and two goals. For the time being, he played in an attacking trio with Antoine Griezmann and Martin Braithwaite, but the former left the Catalan team.
FCB fans, however, can’t wait for the return of Ansu Fati, who is expected to shine and become the new Lionel Messi. The pair of Ousmane Dembélé and Sergio Aguero, who are nursing injuries, will certainly lift the attack.
No wonder Koeman believes in a bright future. Barcelona still have excellent young players at their disposal who could very soon put them back on the Spanish, or even European, throne.
But that will require a lot of work, which the Dutch coach is certainly not afraid of, as he has proved in previous engagements.
However, the Catalan team will not have easy days ahead of them, the match with Sevilla has been postponed, but Bayern Munich and then the unpredictable Granada await them in the week.
