Lucie Pudilova has seen a few changes after her stint in the UFC ended. For a long time she was under fire from critics because of her coaching team and unwillingness to change it. So she tried training in Slovakia before settling in Ireland’s SGB Gym under the famous John Kavanagh.
Kavanagh is the trainer of, for example, Conor McGregor. As Pudilova’s trainer, he also took part in the Oktagon tournament and immediately after it took place, he admitted that he was very pleasantly surprised. He would like to get more of his fighters into the organization.
And now that Pudilova is leaving the Octagon to return to the UFC, where she will fight the best fighters on the planet, he wrote a few words about the Czechoslovakian organization.
“The Octagon offered us a great platform, thanks to which we were able to collect the victories needed to return to the world’s biggest organization. They treated us unbelievably and also paid us well,” Kavanagh expressed on Instagram.
“For fighters and fighters from Europe, I would definitely recommend Octagon because they won’t push you into any nonsensical or unfavorable contracts,” he added.
Pudilova has managed six MMA fights in the Octagon since her stint in the UFC, losing just one of them. In addition to that, she has also fought under the modified rules of the Octagon Underground.
The Czech fighter returns to the UFC after more than two years.
