Ronald Paradeiser is one of the biggest stars of the Oktagon. There is a lot of talk that he has a bright future ahead of him. He already had an offer on the table from the UFC, but he turned it down. Why? The Slovakian fighter has shown tremendous humility and character.

He only turned 26 this summer, yet he already has 25 fights under his belt and a record of 17-8. Ronald Paradeiser has been picking up losses especially early in his career, but he is currently one of the best fighters in the Oktagon and among the European elite at his weight.

He has nothing to be ashamed of for his last three losses. In the summer of 2018 he was beaten by the late champion Mateusz Legierski, in January 2021 he was tightened up by the legendary Ivan Buchinger and in February 2022 he was beaten on points by Losene Keita.

He has otherwise won 11 of his last 14 fights. He now holds a streak of four wins in a row and would love to challenge for the Oktagon title. He dreams of a rematch with Keita, even calling him a liar, but he won’t give the Slovakian hope a chance. Now he’s recovering from an injury.

Anyway, it’s no wonder that Paradeiser is already on the UFC’s radar. “I got an offer, but I don’t see it happening yet. It was just Contender, he’s terribly underpaid and I’m supporting two kids and a wife. I need to work,” he expressed in an interview with the Willy Cao channel.

“I don’t see myself going there at the moment. Maybe sometime in the future, but right now I want to grab a title in the Oktagon. I told everybody I’m going to get it. When I get it, we can talk about something,” Paradeiser said.

What are Paradeiser’s plans?

Rony Paradeiser is now waiting to see what happens. He has a deal with Oktagon to fight at the end of the year. But he doesn’t know his opponent. But Keita and Legierski are in the mix. But the Slovak is ready for anything. Even if it’s someone completely different.

Now he’s going to a training camp in Poland and in December he plans to return home hungry and excited for the next fight. And when does he see himself in the UFC?

“It’s on the table, they know about me, the manager has addressed it. I don’t see a path in that direction yet. I still want to be in the Oktagon, to beat everyone here. We’ll see what happens next year. I have built a name, I want to be in the top elite of Europe and then tackle the UFC. I’m still young. I have to gain experience,” he said.

As mentioned, he’s only 26 years old. In his opinion, fighters reach their peak at the age of 30, 32 or 34. He feels he’s getting better himself, and he’s seeing progression in himself. So there is a lot to look forward to.
