I wish I hadn’t! Slavia tactically outplayed the sixth team of the Bundesliga and, more importantly, they are now in the next stage of the ECL. In fact, this means that they have played three times in the last four years in the spring European Cups. How is the Slavic community reacting to the success?

Both the players themselves and the realisation team, who have achieved the unbelievable, have earned the accolades. He formed the broken, moribund team into a 3-5-2 formation and it worked like hell.

The game system, completely untried in the league, which the Red and Whites have deployed several times in the European Cup, worked to perfection against Union Berlin. Two running strikers who constantly attacked the Berlin team’s midfield and under them three physically and technically fit central midfielders (Lingr, Holeš, Samek), plus halfbacks Bah, Oscar and a defensive trio of Masopust, Ousou, Kacharaba.

It’s hard to find a weaker performance in the starting eleven and it’s probably impossible to find one. Slavia proves once again that from summer to winter, a team and individuals can be shot up two levels in performance. From my point of view, this is an incomprehensible skill of the implementation team, which unfortunately will only be fully appreciated in a few years, who knows if not decades.

Tweeted a Slavija supporter who gushed about Aihama Ousou’s performance. In his first start, the Swedish stopper came on for Karviná and absolutely did not keep up with the pace of the game. Within a few months, Ousou is profiling himself into a perfect defender who can be competitive even for Ondrej Kudel.

However, there was also a comment from one of the cynical Czech Twitter profiles, who was not afraid to take it easy on Slavia. However, he received mostly criticism for his tweet.

It seems to me that Slavia would have walked from the Bundesliga to the LM in peace. Big congrats, looking forward to the spring cup opponents. How many will there be? 5?” wrote Daniel Kolman, chairman of Slavia Futsal.

Former ambassador to Great Britain Libor Sečka and football expert Karel Häring also sent their congratulations to Slavia. A Welsh fan of Czech football, who goes by the nickname Fotbal Turist on Twitter, also joined in.
