The Slavs have not won the Champions League yet and are without points in the last place in Group B. Now they have a chance to make amends, as they travel to Austria, where Austrian St.Pölten awaits them. They beat Slavia at home with a goal in the set-up.

The qualification to the Champions League was a huge success. The Slavs earned 10 million crowns, which will definitely help the women’s team grow further.

But in a millionaire competition, it’s not so great anymore. Although the Susians put in a good performance, they fell to AS Rome, Wolfsburg and St. Pölten without scoring once.

So they will try to improve in the second half of the group, although it will almost certainly not be for promotion. They will get their first chance on Thursday when they play Austria.

St.Pölten won in Mladá Boleslav, where the Slavia players play their home games in the Champions League, only by a goal in the set-up, which was quite cruel.

“Against St. Pölten we were not able to combine and we did not play our game, which we will want to show in the rematch. We will definitely have to focus on converting our chances, we haven’t managed to score a goal in three games and we can’t win without that.

We are also sorry about the last league match against Liberec, where we lost 1::2, we wanted to keep our lead in the table and winter in first place next year, which unfortunately we didn’t manage to do.

Despite the failure in the domestic league, we have to concentrate on the three important and difficult Champions League matches that await us before the end of the year, we want to fight and definitely get some points.

We have a lot to give back to St. Pölten after an even match and a close loss,” said Slavia defender Michaela Khýrová in an interview for the club’s website.
