The Sešiovans’ management team saw two Ferencváros games live. Tradition is fulfilled, we are going to Hungary!

On Monday, the Slavs travelled to Budapest, where they will face an important match against Ferencváros in the third round of the Champions League on Wednesday. Before and during their departure, the Slavic traditions that have accompanied the Sešiv team throughout their tenure took place. Will they bring the desired success?

Before each away game in the European Cups, the club’s TV station will feature an interview entitled “Before Departure”. Traditionally, the interview is conducted with one of Jindřich Trpišovský’s assistants, Zdeněk Houštecký.

What did Houštecký tell the Susians fans through the club TV? “These matches are specific. We know that everything is at stake now. We were at the Champions League qualifier they (Ferencváros) played against Vilnius. Jaroslav Köstl (assistant coach) and the scouts were watching.”

“We were there with Jindra (Trpišovský) for Saturday’s league game, Kudy (Ondřej Kúdela) was with us as a representative of the players. So we watched it all, we have it all studied. We are preparing for it. It’s going to be a match of maximum intensity,” adds Houštecký.

“They have great quality on offense. We think they have some windows defensively, so we will try to take advantage of that and we believe that if we give our standard performance we have a great chance to advance,” said Zdeněk Houštecký openly.

Another publicly known tradition is the photo of the head coach of the Red and Whites with the vice-president of SK Slavia Prague Tomáš Syrovátka. And where is this photo regularly taken? On the plane!

Unfortunately, Slavic fans cannot enter the away sector in the Groupama Arena, but the Slavic fan shop has prepared a new club design in front of Ferencváros. The fan shop will be ready for the rematch with the Hungarian champion in a new coat!
