The saga is almost over, Mbappé should be unveiled at Real Madrid this weekend
One of the best young footballers in the world, PSG certainly didn’t want to give up easily, which is why the transfer saga around Kylian Mbappé dragged on for so long. Now, towards the end of the transfer window, everything should have come to a successful conclusion.
One of the best young footballers in the world, PSG certainly didn’t want to give up easily, which is why the transfer saga around Kylian Mbappé dragged on for so long. Now, towards the end of the transfer window, everything should have come to a successful conclusion.
Mbappé has dreamed of playing for Real Madrid since he was a little boy, and that will probably come true in just a few days. Although PSG management didn’t want to hear about selling their gem, the 22-year-old Frenchman’s contract expiring next year has forced them to act.
So Real Madrid rushed in with their first official offer. 160 million euros for a player they can have for free in a year’s time was a very generous offer indeed. PSG, however, rejected the offer, saying that they were unwilling to sell Mbappé for less than what they brought him from Monaco for.
Florentino Pérez did not hesitate for long and sent a second offer to Paris during Thursday. 170 million euros + 10 million in bonuses.
According to several well-informed sources, PSG have succumbed to this offer and so there is nothing to prevent Mbappé from joining Los Blancos. The news was first reported by José Félix Díaz, who is one of the most reliable sources regarding Real Madrid.
And the official announcement of Kylian Mbappé? According to other sources close to Real Madrid, the Frenchman should be announced on Sunday, Monday at most. The transfer window closes on Tuesday, August 31.
Kylian Mbappé’s presentation should take place after the national break at the training centre in Valdebebas or before the match against Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabéu.
