The rising star of the UFC has arrived! Chimaev challenged by welterweight foursome, but has a stipulation

Khamzat Chimaev should be one of the biggest stars in the UFC in the near future. He already has many fans, but also many critics. He has gained a lot of attention. All that’s left to do is to go for his dream title. But to do that, he needs tough opponents. One of them has now been offered to him.

Khamzat Chimaev has come into the UFC like a big shot. In the biggest MMA organization in the world, he has four clear and dominant wins after four fights. He is now 11th in the welterweight rankings.

His confidence is not lacking. He’s constantly trying to challenge the big names. For example, he tried to challenge Nate Diaz, but he refused to fight the undefeated Swede.

This was commented by UFC boss Dana White, who said that he is not defending anyone for not taking a fight with Chimaev.

But now the rising star has received an interesting challenge. He spoke on Instagram about a possible fight with Vicente Luque, who is now ranked #4 in the welterweight rankings.

“Khamzat looks great in his fights, he’s really strong, he finishes every fight. I’m here if anyone wants the fight. It’s simple. The UFC just needs to send me a contract, but they haven’t done that yet. If they do, I’m in,” Luque expressed.

“He’s a beast, he can finish an opponent at any second of the fight. It’s no different than what I can do. If he’s also interested in the fight and makes the deal with the UFC, I’ll be happy to sign the contract,” he added.

Luque has one major stipulation, however. Should the fight with Chimaev happen, it must be the main event of the night for five rounds. He says it will be a huge show and it wouldn’t make sense to fight for three rounds.

Chimaev would have a lot to gain by winning against such an opponent, it would speed up his path to a title fight a lot. However, the championship belt is guarded by the “Nigerian nightmare” Kamaru Usman, who has no competition so far.
