The rift in the Manchester United cabinet continues! Even after three months, Rangnick hasn’t swayed the team to his side
Manchester United’s problems (not only) in the current season are not over. The change in the coaching position hasn’t helped. After more than three months, Ralf Rangnick has failed to sway the squad to his side.
Manchester United’s problems (not only) in the current season are not over. The change in the coaching position hasn’t helped. After more than three months, Ralf Rangnick has failed to sway the squad to his side.
The composition of the stopper duo, the coverage of the defensive midfielders, the (un)busyness of Marcus Rashford, the role of Cristiano Ronaldo or the performance of Bruno Fernandes. These are just some of the issues that the sixty-three-year-old Rangnick has to deal with. Manchester United simply isn’t working the way it should.
The current situation the Old Trafford club is in is not helped by the coach’s relationship with individual players. “Some players have ridiculed Ralf Rangnick’s CV and are still unhappy with his methods,” said Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News.
The Backnang native has had stints at Schalke 04, Hoffenheim and Leipzig. He has shown coaching qualities, but the work he has done and the achievements he has made are probably not up to the Red Devils’ standards, at least according to the Man United players.
But the criticism of the future club advisor is even harsher. According to Samuel Luckhurst, some of the players have questioned why the management hired a coach who was a director in the Russian league and didn’t have much of a track record in the German league.
So the biggest egos in the cabin probably wanted Zidane, Conte or Pochettino to give them instructions.
