Belgian international Eden Hazard could soon be looking forward to returning to London, where he spent the best years of his footballing life with Chelsea! Roman Abramovich is reportedly negotiating the transfer directly with Florentino Pérez!
The Catalan newspaper El Nacional was the first to report the news. In its article, it reports that informal talks have been opened between Pérez and Abramovich, which could result in Hazard’s transfer to Chelsea.
Thirty-year-old Hazard is not having a great time in Spain. After being acquired by the illustrious Real Madrid for more than £100m, he is a shadow of the player who shone in a Blues jersey. The Russian owner of the English club is confident that the Belgian would be able to kick-start his flagging career again in London.
The problem may be the price. The amount that Los Blancos have shelled out for Hazard is nowhere near the player’s current value. According to El Nacional, Chelsea are willing to spend a maximum of £40 million for Hazard’s transfer. Real Madrid would thus have to accept a loss of more than 60 million when selling him. Therefore, it is looking for ways to defend its honour economically and not lose so much.
Coach Ancelotti would like to welcome Reece James, the Blues right-back, in his squad. The club has problems in that position, Caravajal is often injured. The question remains whether Tuchel would let his ward leave.
We will inform you about the resolution of the transfer issue as soon as more information surfaces.
