The first half of the first match at Feyenoord did not go well at all for Slavia. They were absolutely unable to keep up with the highly attacking opponent, they couldn’t get into a combination and the score 0:2 at half-time was still merciful.
Jindřich Trpišovský made three substitutions in the second half, the Sevilla players regrouped and it was a completely different game. In the 63rd minute, Holeš reduced the deficit after a centre by Ševčík and the Slavs even reached for an equaliser.
In Eden, however, Sšívani will not want to let a similar situation happen. They have to dominate from the start on their home pitch, which should be helped by the Red and White fans, although a large group of them will also arrive from Rotterdam.
With such an important match, Trpišovský will probably not move the line-up too much and will field the best he has. All the more so when he can spare the most heavily used players for the weekend against Teplice.
As for the defence, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Ales Mandous was the man in goal, the stopper duo Kacharaba-Ousou played in front of him. Oscar Dorley is playing well on the left and is without competition due to Bořil’s injury, while Alexander Bah, who is the driving force of the Sešice team, is performing well on the other side.
Moreover, Sešiovans have not scored in the last five competitive matches, so there will be no experimentation with the defence.
There is one question mark in the midfield and that is the figure of Ivan Schranz. The Slovakian footballer has returned to the match rhythm after a family tragedy, he already started against Jablonec from the bench. It is questionable whether the coaches will not want to start him from the beginning, his speed and finishing could come in handy.
There is no Hromada on the Conference roster, so Stanciu would move down and Schranz would jump up a tier. If Petr Shevchik can get healthy, he would probably get a chance in the starting lineup.
The Red-Whites also have an excellent joker in Ondrej Lingr. The agile all-rounder has been in fantastic form, scoring four goals in the last two games and is tied for second in the league scorers with seven goals.
It wouldn’t be such a big surprise if Trpišovský fits him into the starting lineup, he’s good on the sub, Stanciu would be pulled in a little deeper.
Slavie’s expected line-up::
Mandous
Bah – Kacharaba – Ousou – Oscar
Holeš – Stanciu
Masopust – Lingr – Olayinka
Kuchta
