PSG are facing harsh criticism from fans after Wednesday’s game against Manchester City. They particularly dislike the low combativeness of the star trio Messi, Neymar, Mbappé. Quite surprisingly, however, coach Pochettino might be able to brush it off.

PSG has made no secret of its big ambitions. The title in the French league is a must for such a team, however, the Parisian club wants to reign in the European Champions League as well.
To this end, the club’s management has sacrificed a lot of financial resources and brought in a number of star players in the summer, led by Lionel Messi. But the star-studded team is not quite working yet.
PSG has no competition in the French league. It leads Nice by eleven points and is safely on course for the title. However, it would be a shame for the Parisian side if this were not the case. The problem comes in the Champions League.
Here, the team is not as convincing as the management would like. PSG have only two wins from five matches and will advance to the next stage from second position in the group. Even scoring nine goals is not enough for a team with such ambitions.
It is no wonder that opinions are beginning to abound that too many stars in PSG’s squad may be behind the failure in Europe. In the opinion of the fans, such players cannot be persuaded to submit to the team, and that may only be enough for the domestic competition.
The club’s management has started to react to the current situation. According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, it is looking for a new successor to replace Mauricio Pochettino.
And who could become the new coach of PSG? The Parisian club is said to be dreaming of the arrival of Zinedine Zidane. The French coach has a lot of experience in the Champions League from his previous stint at Real Madrid. Here, moreover, he also had to work with a number of stars. Thus, it seems that Zidane could be an ideal candidate for the PSG coaching position.
