What millions of fans around the world have been waiting for is finally here! The fourth season of Netflix’s Drive to Survive has seen the light of day and has much to offer. So what from the 2021 season should the new series focus on?

This is the fourth installment of the very well-known Netflix documentary series, which always focuses on a specific season.

Netflix started this series in 2018, and already then the American company reaped many positive reactions for its venture. It must be added, although the last two seasons created a kind of artificial atmosphere and tension between the drivers, Formula 1 also gained a lot of new fans thanks to this series.

This was recently confirmed by Liberty Media, the company that owns F1. However, it should also be noted that last year the drivers themselves criticised the last series for creating drama that was virtually non-existent.

For more details, then, see this article we published in November, which includes statements from several drivers.

Series four then provides a close-up look at the title battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, and as is the Netflix custom, it’s straight from the bowels of the teams themselves. Although the Red Bull driver has boycotted the entire filming as he feels it doesn’t show the truth.

Fans will, however, be treated to other topics. Drive to Survive, in its new series, looks at the rift between Haas and Uralkali, Daniel Ricciardo’s setbacks and less than dazzling form at McLaren, and the Williams team, specifically George Russell.

As in previous years, the new series contains ten episodes. The opening one is entitled Clash of the Titans and is, of course, dedicated to the start of the season.

Episode two (Ace up the sleeve) then shows the driving rivalry between the McLaren drivers, or Ricciardo and Lando Norris, while in the third act we look at the rivalry between Verstappen and Hamilton from the first third of the 2021 season (The turning point).

The situation at Haas is then documented in episode number 4 (How to Climb a High Mountain), and in the fifth installment we return to the British Woking stable to see Ricciardo’s troubles and McLaren’s double at Monza in Italy.

If you can do it, show it – that’s the name of episode number 6 and it offers a look at the Williams stable. Chapter 7 shows us the growth of Juki Cunda and Esteban Ocon (Growth Hurts).

Episode eight then takes us through the driving situation at Mercedes (Bottas’ departure, a new contract for Russell), the title of which is Mr Wolff Will Make It Happen. The last two episodes are dedicated to the title fight and the grand finale in Abu Dhabi (Into the Ring, Sharp Race).
