The national team won a great draw with the Dutch thanks to a wonderful shot by Svitková
The national women’s football team took on their opponents! Kateřina Svitková came through with a catchable, perhaps lifetime, shot from distance.

The women’s national team was originally scheduled to play against the Netherlands on Friday evening, but due to a snowstorm, the two teams did not face each other until Saturday at noon.
The national team gave a great performance in Ostrava and robbed the Dutch of a point after a 2:2 draw, and kept their hopes of victory alive until the last moment.
The favoured players from the land of tulips probably did not know that the Czech team would be such an equal opponent. In the 11th minute they had to bow down to a long-range shot by Kateřina Svitková.
The English West Ham player did not deal with it and leaned on the ball far outside the big white space. You can watch the trajectory of its flight with pleasure in the video below.
After coming out of the dressing room, the Dutch women got even more into it, despite this our national team still kept up. Not even an equaliser from Van de Donk’s foot in the 51st minute sent them to their knees.
Just nine minutes later, the jubilant crowd in the white home jerseys could be seen again, when Simona Necidova scored after a corner kick.
From about the 70th minute onwards, the Czech players were running out of energy, but they fought on and did not give up. The referee decided to set a relatively high number of minutes, six.
In the middle of the set time, unfortunately for the home team, van der Gragt equalised after a centre from the right side. Despite this, the draw with the Dutch can be considered very valuable!
In the World Cup qualification Group C table, the Czech team is in third place with five points after four matches. It is important that in the remaining four matches they perform at least as well as Svitková, Staskova, Votíková and co. did today.
